Bizzare. Applied for the job and got the interview. I was told that it was really a sales job and not a Director position. I continued with it because I felt I could work my way into a senior role after proving myself in sales within the Air Force market. I was then asked to write a two-page paper about where I could introduce AI/ML applications into an industry of my choosing. I did so, then had three more back to back virtual interviews. Each asked me the same information about my background and work history. Also, each one mentioned how there was a disconnect in the company between expectations of corporate leadership and what is possible for meeting quarterly sales goals with the federal government acquisition cycle. Also, each person who interviewed me had less tenure with 3C AI than I have had with any of my employers in my entire career which gave me some pause. The longest tenured person I spoke to was with the company for 3 years and was seen as a veteran with the company. I was then rejected by an auto-generated no-reply email after completing 4 interviews that seemed to go well and with people whom I did not receive any indication that I was not a good fit. No feedback as to why they decided to not move forward, and no way to contact those who eagerly interviewed me. After reflection, I believe they were simply using the interview process to gather intel from me as someone with knowledge of where AI could be applied within the defense sector. Very disingenuous and a complete waste of time. I should have immediately disengaged when they told me it was sales job after advertising it as a Director position.
