Interview
This is very similar to another experience that I read on Glassdoor. I had initially applied for the Software Engineer - Applications position, and was told that my profile matched the requirements for the Solution Engineer role. This was followed by a detailed 45 min call with a Solution Architect. I was sent a HackerRank test which had standard questions and a few easy MCQs. I nailed the test and was contacted by a recruiter. We set up a date for the first skype interview. However, the day before the interview, I was informed that the interviewer wasn't available anymore on that date. The interview was rescheduled. To my surprise, I got a phone call from the hiring manager (instead of a skype call) and was told that I wasn't a good fit for the position and that my profile matched with another position that they had. He was supposed to email me the job description for that role, but I never heard again from any C3iot employee again! I wish they had reviewed my profile properly the first time. Would've saved everyone's time that way!

Question 1
Typical HackerRank questions. Nothing extraordinary. In fact I don't even remember the questions anymore.

Interview
The interview process wasn’t hard. However, my system design interview got cancelled two times and I was told it would be HLD based round, but the interviewer asked me a low level design question. I had not prepared for it at all. The coding round was very very very easy and I passed it without any problem.
The recruiters also almost never reply to you if you have any questions about the interview process
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at C3 AI in Dec 2025
Interview
One round with manager with behavior questions before the technical ones.
There was no salary range discussion or information about the role. Then 2 technical rounds for coding and system design. The interviewer of first round did not show up and the 2nd round was with a manager to implement a design system, the interview ends right in the middle since the manger says something like: "Work more on your design skills and we will consider you later". The interviewer was very impatient and lacks communication skills. I don't think they give any respect to the candidate's time and effort, avoid if you have another opportunity.

I think the process is really long and it takes a long time to process all rounds. But the feedback for each round is really fast.

They are asking about my past experience, why interested in joining c3ai. I think they really values a lot about whether you are fit with the company's culture.
