Interview
The interview process a whole joke. Made it through all 4 rounds but not without getting to understand how much of a hot mess they really are. Tldr: they're a sinking ship and the team's chaotic handling of the interview process seems to show how disengaged and disorganized the teams are inside.
Round 1: Behavioral - was supposed to with with someone in the same role now. She never showed up lol. I email HR and get a notification 15 min into being in the zoom from HR that it was cancelled and need to reschedule. Sure, fine. It gets rescheduled and this time the person (super nice) but he's at the airport commuting.
Round 2: Behavioral again. They're late, not a big deal but at this point they're racking up red flags for me. This time I'm meeting the original person I had scheduled (who didn't show up in round 1). . She's so disengaged through the entire interview.
Round 3: Interviewer doesn't show up again lol. She pops in after maybe 5 min to say we need to reschedule to later that day. Sure I say. Again very disengaged, at this point, I'm using this for practice interviewing because I'm learning about their whole CEO getting kicked out etc from the media.
Round 4: Leadership call. He spontaneously has me pitching their tech to him. I'm caught off guard and he has me redo it a few times when he doesn't like the way I'm pitching something that wasn't supposed to be part of the process. Very much felt like he wanted to humble me but I wasn't really invested (despite having made it this far) in the process at this point to care enough.
In all reality they shouldn't be recruiting and instead focus on cleaning up their internal teams because if this whole interview process was a reflection on how they're doing as a company, it clearly shows how subpar their teams truly are in carrying out the efforts to stay relevant in a market thats expeditiously wedging them out.
