This went on for seven weeks, and could have been an eternity. There was an initial screen from the recruiter, then an interview with the hiring manager. I was then set up with another recruiter, who then scheduled four more interviews. I am currently employed, so for each one of these I had to schedule around my current job, which was not at all easy. The four interviews in one week could have easily been done with one Zoom call, however I assume they each want a more personal idea of the candidate, which is fine, but difficult unless you are unemployed. All interviews went well, and I was told that I would be hearing back from the original recruiter. I waited, and waited, and waited. This went on over the holidays, and I still hadn't heard back, so I sent the recruiter an email that went unanswered. After another couple of weeks, I finally sent a message saying that I needed an answer. Later that day, she sent me the typical automated "thank you for applying , but we have decided to pursue other candidates". Apparently, taking the time out of your busy schedule to do over four hours of interviews doesn't justify the dignity of a response. You would think that out of the five people that I talked to that one of them could have had the decency to give me a response, but no. Sounds like I dodged a bullet here, if that's the lack of respect that they give their employees. I actually enjoyed the interviews, and would have been interested in applying again in the future, if they had only been somewhat respectful.
