I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at CARFAX (Columbia, MO) in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview process was simple. There was a video interview, followed by an in person interview.
The questions posed during the interview were simple and straight forward. They pertained to the job and how to deal with people in different situations.
The in person interview was supposed to be several sessions with the various managers. I was asked if I could combine those sessions into one to save time. During that portion of the interview one of the managers said that he wanted to leave earl and that was why we combined sessions. It was said in jest, but bothered me.
The recruiter during the process made several promises to contact me and about the job itself and was unreliable each time.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at CARFAX (Centreville, VA) in Oct 2025
Interview
The job description read as a Technical Project Manager, however the title was "Project Manager". Salary was low for the Northern VA area and the technical SDLC expertises required. I was asked my salary range and countered asking what is the job pay band. I was excited about this role and the opportunity until I found how low the salary is.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Asked me if I was okay with commuting to Centreville 3x per week.
Interview process was very underwhelming and undetailed, very basic questions and did not provide much when I asked questions. HR person must have been either new or inexperienced because it was probably the worst interview I've ever done

It was a standard interview; 1:1's with ~ 5-6 folks and then a case presentation with the full team. It took about 2 weeks to complete the entire interview from the HR to the case round and then they just ghosted me, never heard back from them despite following up.
