Interview
I applied for CARFAX through Glassdoor. I was contacted by a recruiter and completed a phone interview. Less then a week after the interview I was contacted by Mark Sturges, a Corporate Recruiter, to set up a team interview. Mark was very efficient and effective. He was able to get my interview scheduled quickly and even provided me with a list of names of who I would be interviewing with so I could research them before. The initial interview was to be 30 minutes with the team I would work with and 30 minutes with a group of managers. When I got onsite Mark met me and gave me a tour of CARFAX headquarters. Let me tell you that the tour was amazing. I don't know many companies out there that put such a high priority on being an employee eccentric organization. Mark told me that I was up against 13 other people for 3 positions. He made sure to offer any assistance he could before the interview. The interview went off without a hitch. They group ended up combining with the one manager that was available so my overall interview was only 30 minutes. I was told that I would know by the next day. 2 hours later Mark called to inform me that I was the number one pick and would have an official offer the next day. Mark reached out the next day with the official offer and made sure all my questions were answered. A couple days after I accepted the offer I asked Mark if I could bring my family by to show them where I will be working. it is important to me that my family feels accepted by the company I wish to form a long term relationship with. Mark was very accommodating and gave a full tour. I am very excited to join the CARFAX family and I am proud to say that Mark Sturges is a big part of that reason.

I recently had the pleasure of going through the interview process with CARFAX, and I must say, it was an incredibly positive experience from start to finish. Vivek Shah, in particular, made the entire process smooth and engaging. He was communicative, transparent, and very supportive throughout each stage.
From the initial conversations to the final steps, Vivek kept me informed, answered my questions promptly, and ensured that I felt comfortable and prepared. His professionalism and friendliness stood out, making what can often be a stressful experience feel seamless and well-structured.
CARFAX’s approach to the interview process demonstrated their commitment to finding the right fit while also ensuring that candidates feel valued. I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the team and am very appreciative of the thoughtful and organized process they’ve built.
If you ever get the chance to interview with CARFAX and work with Vivek Shah, rest assured you’ll be in great hands!
The HR experience was very positive, and the process moved forward quickly, which I appreciated. However, the panel interview was disappointing. From the start, the main interviewer seemed dissatisfied with my background, particularly my lack of work experience in the U.S. This sentiment seemed to guide the rest of the conversation, which ended up focusing only on behavioral questions.
What I found confusing was that, if my experience was such a concern, I’m not sure why I was moved forward in the process to this stage. It raises questions about the communication between the HR team and the interview panel.
