Interview
I was approached by a recruiter through LinkedIn because they liked the experience I had with the former company I worked for and felt that I would be a great fit for Carvana. The entire interview process went very smooth, I had a total of three interviews.
The first interview was via phone with the HR Recruiting Rep that reached out on LinkedIn. Super friendly, made me feel like they were very interested in me as a candidate and gave me a brief download on the position and expectations. An hour after the interview I received a follow-up email from Carvana to schedule the next interview.
Second Interview was setup via FaceTime with a remote Market Operations Leader, just like the HR Representative this person also made me feel comfortable and was super friendly. They were more direct with questions about my background and what I can bring to Carvana. After this interview which lasted about 15-20 minutes, I was told I should hear back within a few days if I make it to the next round. Later that same day, HR reached out to schedule my final 'In-Person' Interview with the Hiring Manager.
A week later, I visit their HUB location for my interview and it did not feel like an interview. It was moreso to put a face to my resume and to feel out the vibe. Very friendly and welcoming, I was given a tour of the facility and a recap of the role and what training would look like. Towards the end of my final interview I was again told I should hear back within a few days with a decision. Later that day I received a call from HR with an offer.

Interview
I found this position listed on the Carvana careers website and applied online. The next day I received an email from a recruiter asking me to give them a few times when I'd be available to do a phone interview. The request came right before a holiday weekend, so I did not get back to them until the following Monday. I had my phone interview that Tuesday. I'm not sure what the company is looking for in a candidate as I felt that I was well qualified for this position with many years of professional driving experience and customer service experience, serving a wide variety of customers. The day after my phone interview I received an email saying they had decided to move forward with other candidates. I know I could have done this job very well, yet I was not even given a chance to interview in person for it. Just look at Carvana's commercials and the images of people who work there on their website and you can see that they do not favor anyone over the age of 40 to work there.
