I applied for this position via a posting on LinkedIn. I was contacted by the recruiter, did a preliminary phone interview with them, where we discussed the position and salary details. Turns out salary I had in mind was much higher than they were willing to pay, so it was kind of a nonstarter. (In my opinion, vastly underpaying for the level of work they were expecting from this position.) The recruiter said they would ask the hiring manager if there was flexibility on salary, and I never heard back. Kind of unprofessional, but the salary wasn’t what I was looking for, so I’m not too upset about it.
