I had a positive interview experience at Carvana, starting with an initial screening. I introduced myself, shared my journey into data analytics, and discussed my skills, including benchmarking, A/B testing, and working with various tools and programming languages. They asked about my interest in Carvana, my industry preferences, and my work authorization details. I was informed about a case study to complete and present to senior executives within a week. (Python and SQL based questions)
In the second round with a director, we delved deeper into advertising strategies, including brand and inbound advertising. I shared how my passion for problem-solving and my recent experience with data analytics align with the role. We discussed Carvana’s experimentation processes and decision-making, which I found particularly interesting.
They didn't let me present my work and based the decision over the 25 minute call (where I might not have conveyed my intent as clearly). That left a slight sour taste in my mouth but the HR was super communicative and I really appreciated that.
