I applied via a referral. Recruiter appeared in rush. They called me and pushed to appear for a technical interview the next day or in couple days. It looked strange because they never had recruiter chat with me at all. Interviewed for an hour with HM, recruiter, a senior dev and HR lady combined. Primarily, there were hiring for go lang dev. I was able to answer go lang based questions. They spend larger time in some api design related and security based questions. They never responded to my follow-ups on the interview outcome. No closure, Ghosted basically.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2021
Interview
In person downtown talking to the manager and director of the department I was interviewing for. Took transit to get there and interview went fine. We were able to negotiate an acceptable pay rate.

Question 1
They asked me about my prior experience and what technical certification I had.
Very smooth, patient, and kind when I asked questions at the end of the interview. I think that if I had been less nervous, then I would have been able to explain myself a lot better.
