I applied with a resume and cover letter, and was asked for two phone interviews, the first with HR and the second with my direct supervisor. They focused on skills and experience that I had and asked about my technical skills but did not have any technical questions.

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter via email a few weeks later. I had a 30min interview with the recruiter where I was mostly asked about my technical experience and I was not asked behavioral interview questions. Then I had a 30min interview with an engineering manager. The conversation was mostly him telling me about the job and the team I’d be working with, again no behavioral questions were asked. For reference, I was offered $18/hr and I did not try to negotiate and I’m not sure if you can.
