I was called for 2 interviews for 2 different positions. The first was for a ccr. That interview was fine. I disclosed I was also interviewing for a benefits position as well. I was contacted through an agency so I didn’t know until later that the interviews were at the same place as the company was disclosed after. But I figured, better be honest. Later in the week I had my benefits interview scheduled. I waited 25 min on zoom only to be told the interview was canceled. The person didn’t bother to come on camera or even apologize. I later got an email to reschedule. When I checked my email closer to the rescheduled date, I get a canceled Google calendar invite with no explanation. I reached out since no one bothered to explain. They said we put the position on hold. Again, no apology for now twice wasting my time. This behavior would never be accepted from an applicant. This was completely unprofessional and as for the first interview , I was told I’d hear back, nothing, ghosted. The job market is hard enough without recruiters treating candidates like nothing. I have a feeling they didn’t like that I was, well thought I was interviewing for another position but I figured full transparency was best. It put a horrible taste in my mouth and just increased the stress of the job hunt.
