I interviewed at CRISPR Therapeutics
Interview
Pretty quick turn-around from time of application to first round of interviews. Some challenging technical questions regarding my experiences from undergrad and master's - definitely not as straight forward as other interviews i've had. Standard soft skills questions, nothing fancy.
Went very well with the HR, explained the project in full, gave overview of team and lab structure, asked to walk through my background and resume and asked for most challenging moment while working in lab.

Question 1
What was a challenging time in lab you have faced while developing assays? Have you ever had an assay fail that you've worked on for weeks and how did you handle that?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at CRISPR Therapeutics (Cambridge, MA) in Nov 2020
Interview
I had so many interviews taken over two months. Multiple HR calls, a call with the hiring manager, a long panel interview, and then a call with the director to understand if I would be a good fit after I was told that I would be. I patiently gave all the interviews but still had calls with the HR where they verbally provided me with an offer but couldn't provide me with a written offer and made me wait for a whole month going back and forth. With all the back and forth and keeping me waiting they finally realized that the HR made a mistake and couldn't hire me. This mistake was easily avoidable if they had done their due diligence during the initial HR call. I was not offered a position after two months of waiting
