      Lead Director Interview

      May 4, 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Woonsocket, RI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CVS Health (Woonsocket, RI) in Apr 2020

      Interview

Started with a virtual interview, then I met with about five more people. Once I pass the virtual interview, the following interviews were fairly quick until I got an offer. However, I interviewed for a few rolls, until I landed one. So if you don’t get the first role you apply for you should keep trying.

      Jul 27, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CVS Health in Jul 2025

      Interview

The recruiter reached to me after I applied online. During our initial conversation, he did not ask any questions but gave an overview of the company and team. Following that, he scheduled four interviews, including one with the hiring manager and three with his peers. Interestingly, the interview with the hiring manager was placed last. My conversations with the three team members were excellent. They had been with CVS for several years and brought strong consulting experience from firms like McKinsey. The discussions were engaging and insightful. However, the experience with the hiring manager was disappointing. He had to reschedule once due to an emergency and then joined the rescheduled call five minutes late. While I understand everyone has a busy schedule, his lack of engagement was noticeable from the start. He appeared distracted, frequently looking at another screen and typing during the conversation. His questions seemed unprepared, and he clearly wanted to end the interview about 20 minutes early. When I asked him standard questions about day-to-day responsibilities, team structure, and how AI is used in their work, he seemed visibly uninterested and uncomfortable, as though answering these basic questions was a burden. Overall it was a waste of time since because of hiring manager's attitude, it was evident either he was interested in hiring me or they had already picked someone and they were interview for sake of interviewing to increase HR KPIs.
