I applied online. I interviewed at Cactus Club Cafe (Coal Harbour, BC)
Interview
It was a massive hiring event for the Coal Harbour location in 2012. The female manager who did my interview had that typical arrogrant attitude you'd see in stereotypical barmaids. When I replied I was mostly interested in the bartender position, she actually said "You do realize you have to be at least 19 to work at the bar, right?" Like seriously? My resume listed that I was going to university for at least three years (I was 22 at the time). I was flattered that I looked underage to her lol... but wow. Afterwards, she only gave a long generic spiel about Cactus Club's brand. No other question. Didn't even give me a chance to ask her questions at the end of the 10 minute interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Cactus Club Cafe (Vancouver, BC) in Feb 2022
Interview
Strange not talking to an actual person but it was good overall and great that you can do the interview at whatever time you please. Questions were straightforward and easy to understand.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cactus Club Cafe (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Three rounds of interviews, with varying levels of management, all in person and asking similar questions. Not able to get a vibe on whether they liked you or not. Basically admitted to only hiring pretty girls.
