I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at California Closets (Tallahassee, FL) in Oct 2022
Interview
Simple process usually a recruiter or someone calls after you submitted an application and then the manager calls and then you have to do some spatial test that doesn't measure anything about true design understanding. I interviewed with this company in Ohio and completed the test and I never heard back from them even though the manager said they ready to hire me I still never heard back from them very unprofessional. then I interviewed in different state and same type of thing. I do think they have a racial bias at this company because I know that I'm qualified to do the job. I did read about that when I started thinking about applying to the position. before they saw that I was not a white person they seemed quite interested in bringing me on but after ward no communication.

That was the actual question even though she never asked me what type of projects have I designed in the past even though it shows on my resume that I've designed the broad scheme from small to large.

Interview
Interview went well, seems like a nice professional people. But they never contacted me back. I tried to follow up by phone and email. No luck. Tried again 1 week later, same. I am taking back my comment about being "professional". Unfortunately. They could at least say, that they find someone else.

Phone interview. Then in person. Very thorough. I felt like they took the time to really advise me of how long it takes to make a decent paycheck. That way I could make an informed decision.
