Applied online. Received a phone call a week later for a written examination. On the day of examination there were 4 of us waiting in the lobby area before walking into the test room with 3 proctors who were audit supervisors and another test taker that was already seated and I did not see her at the lobby area. She seemed really relaxed and smiled to all of us (plain black and white FORMALITY) while the rest of us were determining where to sit and what the exam was going to entail. I remember like it was yesterday how upset I felt after seeing another candidate sitting and waiting for the rest of us. This goes out to show that the person was most likely an internal employee or someones relative at the department. So after seeing all of this, I received a phone call for an in person interview. I was tempted to say I will not make it and this position is RIGGED!!!!! However, I took my chances and attended the interview anyway. The group panel was a 5 person panel (4 women and 1 man) in which they each took a turn asking a behavioral question. Answered the interview questions on point. Even during the interview, I got the vibe that no matter what I say they already have a person in mind, but still powered through with full hope. Needless to say, received a thank you but no thank you letter from the department.
