Recruiter reached out for a phone interview to discuss my qualifications and next steps. Next round was an interview with the hiring manager. We discussed my qualifications, knowledge of different technologies and more information about the role. Final round was a power day with four 30-minute interviews with different members of the team. I was offered the position a week later and given a verbal offer from the recruiter. However, I get a call from the recruiter a few days later telling me that they have given the position to a former intern and I wasn't selected. I found this very unprofessional as they made me go through all the process only to give the role to an internal candidate.
