      Senior Consultant Interview

      Dec 12, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Tysons Corner
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Capco (Tysons Corner)

      Interview

The process was a mess from the start. The recruiter called me at work without emailing, then changed the time the day of our interview by thirty minutes while I was coming from an hour away. Meanwhile, she took accountability with me on the phone but not her colleagues and as I was leaving they mentioned twice to me that I had failed to make the third interview 😂😂😂 meanwhile she frantically texted me all day about her email not working. So completely unprofessional.

We are very disappointed to read your comments. Mistakes like this are thankfully extremely rare at Capco and we have conducted a thorough internal investigation to understand what may have happened and to ensure it is not repeated. As a successful firm that is growing quickly, creating a positive candidate experience for talented job seekers is of paramount importance to us. We set the bar very high both for our recruiters, and those involved in recruitment from the business. We aim to see every candidate has a great experience of Capco and takes away a positive impression of the firm, whether or not they join us on this occasion. In this case the recruiter was forced to communicate quickly and via text (rather than email) as the firm was undergoing a one-off email migration and she had no email access for a limited period. The recruitment evening was scheduled at short notice and we appreciate that candidates may prefer a longer lead time. Rest assured that we will take this feedback on-board for future events. In spite of the late scheduling, the event was run like any other event where candidates were prepped in advance, greeted on the night, and met with a number of interviewers. These trained interviewers then decided, as a team, which candidates moved forward to the next stage. We regularly seek feedback from candidates on our recruitment process, including via this forum, in order to make enhancements and continually improve the candidate experience at Capco so we attract the best in the market - we will continue to do so.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Capco (London, England) in Jun 2026

      Interview

Highly structured three-stage experienced hire process with rapid commercial vetting. The recruitment track at Capco was efficient, consisting of three sequential stages: Screening Round: Initial 1-hour interview focused on core background matching and alignment with domain offerings. Use Case Assessment: An in-person case study presentation lasting 90 minutes. Final Managing Partner Round: A high-pressure, rapid-fire 30-minute discussion focused heavily on commercial value articulation, managing transformation delivery, and navigating technical or stakeholder legacy constraints. The onboarding team transitioned very smoothly into the digital background vetting phase immediately following the verbal offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

"Describe your strategy experience in data or AI strategies in financial infrastructure environments." "How do you handle a scenario where a transformation deployment faces active pushback from a client's legacy team?" "Walk me through a previous data project where you personally managed the execution roadmap, design requirements, and risk boundaries."

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Capco

      Interview

It started with a 30-minute session with the HR, then a 1-hour technical interview, and finally a 45-minute face-to-face interview at the Capco office. Overall I had a really positive experience. The whole process took about 1 month.

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Capco (London, England) in May 2026

      Interview

I applied for a permanent position. First I had a phone call with Capco recruitment followed by a virtual coding exercise, this was algorithmic based and not too obscure and finally I had an on-site behavioural interview with the MP. The staff were very friendly.
