Received a few emails from the recruiter asking additional information, any certifications I have related to the position, and then called to tell me the Hiring Recruiter would reach out via text or phone call to set up next steps. Stated I had excellent credentials, I would be a good fit, and sounded really excited for me. That was 2 weeks ago. I did send a follow-up email asking status as well as a phone call leaving a message.
He ghosted me without any explanation or an email reply politely saying they changed their minds or there was a delay, etc. NOTHING.
When recruiting, respect and follow-up should be top notch, especially when recruiting for such a high level position. (Lack) of actions like this makes people never apply to a job because if they're treated like this in the beginning, how do you treat the actual employees you have hired?
