Question 1
The first question was: "what are my salary expectations?"
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capital One (Tysons Corner, VA)
Interview
I sat in a room in Tysons Corner headquarter with a screen and Skyped with a person in Richmond. He asked me many questions about different scenarios and how I, not a team or a partner, reacted in those scenarios. He was rude, disbelieving, repeated my answers back to me as if they were lies, and repeated himself multiple times. I was very close to getting up and walking out, and knew then that the company was bureaucratic and political.

Question 1
What would you do if you were in an all-day meeting and people needed to get in touch with you about a different project?
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Capital One (Washington, DC) in May 2016
Interview
Applied online. Actually a couple times to same position, recruiter called me to set up a prescreen. The recruiter was very cordial, gave me background on the job/culture, was forthcoming with information that was relevant to the discussion, conversational. The experience alone was professional and a great sign of the company's culture. Even more, I received a follow up phone call to say I was no longer being considered, which to me, is the first that's ever happened. Kudo's to the Richmond recruiting office for that. Even though I was disappointed, I give this a thumbs up.
