I had the opportunity to interview for the Human Resources Internship Program after having attended the Human Resources Leadership Summit over the summer. After having already done a phone interview for the HR Leadership Summit, I completed a case study interview for the next step in the process. The interviewer was nice and very supportive.

Given a certain HR problem relating to staff compensation and benefits, what suggestions would you offer based on the provided information?
Power day was a 4 hour long interview back to back (was supposed to be 15 minutes in between people but not really) . 2 behavior, 1 case study, and last one was to see if I would be a good fit.
I applied online. I interviewed at Capital One (New York, NY) in Oct 2021
Interview
Echoing a lot of the problems others had. Had an initial interview with someone in the HR department, wasn't a recruiter which was kind of weird. After that, they moved me to the final round which was a "power day" where they have you do back to back interviews for 4 hours straight. As a student, I had to miss a few classes to do this since they had very limited time options. Also to all my HR friends out there, be prepared for a case study. Honestly, I have no idea why they make HR candidates do a case study when they state that those are primarily for analysts, but I did my best to prepare and managed to give an answer. Got an email 5 business days later, with a very generic message from my recruiter saying that she had no feedback- this is the part that bothered me the most. I spent a lot of time and effort on these interviews, and they couldn't give ANY feedback? Come on. And I think any company that does a "power day" is ridiculous, especially for potential interns that they know have classes to attend
