The interviews consisted of cases.
Overall I was extremely disappointed with the process. In past cases and workshops, recruiters made it seem like interviewers would be engaged and excited to interview and work with us. In all my interviews, my interviewers were disengaged, uninterested, and very rude.
In 2 of my interviews, my interviewer was visibly on their phone and would not answer any questions. One interviewer even sighed and put his head in his hands and seemed frustrated and annoyed when I asked a question.
It felt as though I was wasting their time and I did not feel comfortable or respected throughout the process. The interviews didn't allow me to ask any questions and I wasn't asked about my previous experiences at all. It felt as though no one wanted to get to know me. The interviewers also seemed to think they were superior and the best, and while Capital One is reputable and prestigious, it felt wrong and uncomfortable to hear employees bad-mouth other companies.
While I received an offer, my overall negative experience with the interviewers and the interview process itself led me to decline the offer. I did not want to work for a company that does not respect potential candidates and applicants' time, experiences, and feelings. Overall, I would not recommend interviewing or applying with Capital One, as I can see that I am not alone in my negative experience.
