Interview was with the recruiter. Was scheduled via email. The recruiter was very nice and friendly. Scheduling was very easy as he shared his google calendar. One thing for sure is no one reads the resume fully; people only find the key words and AI and the Title. Was told that he will show my resume to the team and if they think I am a fit he they will pursue further with a technical exam. Was not contacted back later.

Question 1
What is an example of a product you lead development from end to end on?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
Declined to continue after phone screening because the recruiter was so out of touch with the actual roles they are recruiting for. They displayed a fundamental lack of understanding of what Product teams have open roles and what they do at a high level, and even actively discouraged me from continuing the process because they have a “rigorous, full day interview process” that I “shouldn’t participate in if I don’t feel a strong fit.” They then backtracked and tried to get me to continue, but I already withdrew my application.
The interview process was extensive, involving multiple rounds. Each stage required a deep, detailed understanding of every project I’ve managed — architecture decisions, challenges faced, and outcomes achieved. This thorough approach ensured both technical depth and clear communication were evaluated at every step.
