Declined to continue after phone screening because the recruiter was so out of touch with the actual roles they are recruiting for. They displayed a fundamental lack of understanding of what Product teams have open roles and what they do at a high level, and even actively discouraged me from continuing the process because they have a “rigorous, full day interview process” that I “shouldn’t participate in if I don’t feel a strong fit.” They then backtracked and tried to get me to continue, but I already withdrew my application.
