A MK recruiter came into my current position and casually talked to him; he pitched MK very well, so they should definitely keep him. He emphasized how fast MK moves in the hiring process, which was somewhat accurate and also misleading in the end.
I gave the recruiter my email and I received an e-mail from the MK Store Manager the next day and a url to the job application. I applied on there as well as scheduled an interview with the Store Manager.
This job would have been a lateral move based on what the job description stated it wanted.
Interview with the Store Manager was very low key; seemed strange but I've had casual interviews before so I didn't think much of it. I then had to do a skype call with the DM and the questions had little to do with being a sales leader and were more "what would you wear on a Saturday night?," nothing about how I utilize KPIs or coach associates or the style I use to lead on the sales floor.
Biggest takeaway however is that after having the Skype call on a Tuesday I waited to hear back and on Friday I sent a casual message to the store manager asking for a touch base but knowing it was holiday weekend and their store was probably as busy as mine. She messaged back saying she'd contact me the following Tuesday. I never received any further communication.
