The first phone call with the recruiter went well. They asked about my current tech stack and quota/activity expectations at my current job. They asked about the reason I'm looking and I mentioned the higher than average base salary offered and the possibility to promote in the future.
Just got my email back saying they can't "guarantee" promotion after (the minimum requirements are met to promote down the line). With that, they decided to not continue the following steps in the interview process.
It's a bummer for sure. It seems most companies can't guarantee or even entertain employees who want to do well and promote internally.
Avoid CaptivateIQ if you want to promote internally. From what I heard in the interview, their entire sales team is brand new. No current quota attainment numbers can be shared because they don't exist.
