Five rounds spread over two months and completely unorganized with minimal interview skills. One hand does not know what the other is doing and it was very apparent while interviewing. When asking for references, they ask for 7-10 total along with 2 current managers... News Flash, if someone external is considering a job, chances are the current manager does not know. Also, who asks for more than 5 references? Why would anyone jeopardize their current job for a interview? Not anyone with intelligence. Also, trying to recruit a reference on the bottom of the referral questionnaire is ridiculously unprofessional.
For the actual interview, the VP and Department MGR did a good job of listening for a response to their actual question. The benefits person was clueless and also very unprofessional in that she did not know how to return a call or email within 24-48 business hours. If anyone goes through 5 rounds of interviews, a phone call is necessary regardless of outcome. Even an email shows some respect but to just leave a candidate hanging is beyond unprofessional.
