I applied online. I interviewed at Catholic Relief Services in Sep 2023
Interview
2-3 weeks after I applied to a Business Development Specialist II, Proposal Writing position, I received an invitation for a phone screening. I was confused and later in disbelief about the email but not because I couldn't believe that I landed a phone screen, but because the email was simply a calendar appointment. There was no real email with a greeting explaining that I had a phone screen, no email text in the body off the email, etc. It was just a calendar appointment from the recruitment. I have had other phone screening invitations and they have always been more professional and with actual text in the email body. The phone screen went well. A couple of weeks after I interviewed, I followed up with the recruiter because I hadn't heard back but he ghosted me. Never replied back again. I concluded that if I got treated that way during the application process, it was a signal of how I might be treated if I worked there. With such a big name and the kind of work that CRS does, they should know that their recruiter are really the first impression of sorts that candidate have of the organization and be aware that some recruiters aren’t so great for their reputation.
