I got this interview during the ACS meeting in Boston in Aug 2010. I applied to the "product development scientist" on the career website of acs.org. They only notified me about the interview by phone that morning. Then the afternoon I was interviewed by two technical people and one HR person in the ACS career fair. They ask me something based on my resume. Other typical questions include: Waht's your big mistake in R&D? What's the example of your successful idea? Generally, they asked me questions according to some syllabus they prepared in advance. During the interview, they also suggested one postdoctoral position to me. I said I would consider both. The interview took 30 minutes, since they will interview a couple of students in one day. In the follow up in Sep and Oct, I did get neither reject or accept email or notification.
