Awful! Fix the First Impression You Are Giving Potential Candidates! Applied online. Was contacted by a coordinator via phone and email. Scheduled first phone interview with HR. Was called 6 min late with no explanation and HR rep fires question after question and is obviously filling out his checklist. Coordinator contacts me again and states will be setting up a phone interview with HR. I email back and said I have already completed this step. Is this with the hiring manager? No response - just an email with details for next phone interview. On day of phone interview with hiring manager, was called 4 min late with an explanation this time. And it was an interview, no pleasantries or conversation although I tried on my end. Just a let me ask you my questions and I'm done with you. Needless to say, these first impressions make a HUGE impression. And here we are two weeks later and I have now received no contact. Not like that is surprising with this initial experience. If there would be an offer I wouldn't take it. If you are treated this was as a potential candidate, gosh knows what the atmosphere and culture is like every day.
