I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cengage (Boston, MA) in Jul 2023
Interview
Seemed like great people. Too many different interviews with different people on the team. By the end, I had met with 9 different people. Then they would not provide any feedback--only told the recruiter trying to get feedback on my behalf that they decided to focus on a different group of candidates. All good, but after interviewing with 9 different people, please do a candidate the courtesy of providing even a small bit of feedback.
There were many, many steps over several months. Things move very slowly. The hiring manager was good at communicating, but you have to be patient and willing to jump through a lot of hoops.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Cengage (Boston, MA) in May 2014
Interview
Very long process which included a preliminary call with HR followed by three hour long calls with the hiring manager and three trips to the office. After meeting 9 people over 2 months I was not offered the job.
No question was too difficult, it was just a long process which involves stamina. Additionally one of the gentlemen interviewing me did not know what role he was interviewing me for and checked his email the entire time which definitely got me flustered more than a tough question might have.
