I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Saint Louis, MO) in Feb 2015
Interview
I can't exactly comment on the interview process. After I was submitted to Centene by a recruiter, I received a series of emails informing me that my application was moving through some sort of hiring pipeline. Today, I received the news that I was considered a good fit and there was no further feedback.
1. The process was impersonal and off-putting.
2. It would have been nice to get some feedback on the rejection, but since I never spoke to a human being, there wasn't any. I suspect it is because I'm overqualified.
3. The final rejection arrived a week after I had already accepted another position. I had gotten four excellent offers at that point and I felt I took my time before making a decision. If Centene wants to hire top talent, they need to realize that it's not going to stay on the market that long. I would be wary of hiring anyone who's prospect are so thin that they are on the market long enough to score an actual interview with Centene.

Interview
Interview with manager, then with team tech lead plus a couple of devs. I think it was around a 30 minute call with the manager, then an hour call with the team.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Centene (Saint Louis, MO) in Apr 2023
Interview
The interview was professional but also quite laid back. There were two people present (a hiring manager and a lead developer). Both were friendly, and I was able to have an easy conversation with them and did not feel nervous at all.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Centene (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2021
Interview
I was contacted by e-mail the day after putting in my application. The first stage was an automated interview where I filmed answers to a few questions. It was weird, but I did it, and less than six hours later I got confirmation that I would have a video interview with some of the lead developers. There were no whiteboarding/live programming challenges. One week after that, I was told I had the job.
The entire process, from putting in my application to being told I had the job (but not including the time for the background check) was two weeks.
