Centene Director Grievance & Appeals interview questions

I submitted my application on last Thursday and had a phone interview on Friday. With no hesitation I was told that I would move on to the formal interview and was asked for my schedule over the next week to two weeks. Today is Wednesday and I just received an E-Mail indicating my application has not been selected to move on to the next interview step. I quite simply don't understand how this is an okay thing to do to an applicant. I've hired a lot of people in my time, and this is not something I would ever do to an applicant!
