I was initially contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn, and the first interview was scheduled quickly within a couple of days. The people I met throughout the process were kind, professional, and seemed genuinely happy to work at the company, which left a very positive impression.
That said, the interview process itself was less smooth. Scheduling between rounds took longer, and I had to proactively follow up to learn about next steps. In addition, the job description in the posting differed quite a bit from what was described during interviews, which created some confusion about the actual scope and expectations of the role.
After what I believed was to be the penultimate stage, I was told there would be a final conversation with senior management. However, more than two weeks passed with no update. My first follow-up message to the recruiter went unanswered; my second message a week later received a short response that the role was put on hold.
While I appreciated the professionalism of the interviewers themselves, the lack of timely communication and the disconnect between the posted description and the real responsibilities made the candidate experience disappointing overall.
