I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Charles River Associates
Interview
I had a phone call interview for the PhD Symposium, 30 minutes. A week or two after the PhD Symposium, there was a first round interview which involved 1 case study (30 minutes). After this, I received an invitation for a second round interview which was 3 hours: fit interview, qualitative case study, 30 minute presentation (15 min. presentation + 15 min. questions), a quantitative case study, and a final fit interview (each interview conducted by different people). The fit interviews were general questions-- why do I want to work at CRA, why consulting, tell me about a time when... Case studies were interesting and pretty standard-- very doable. The presentation was an opportunity to present on any topic (typically PhD work). Everybody was very friendly and open to answering questions about the firm/work.
