Looking for a new job is stressful - unfortunately Charlie Health, a company operating in the mental health space, compounds the stress with their lack of common courtesy and professionalism. I spent a significant amount of time on interviews and projects for the role in question, and after taking PTO to spend an afternoon at their office I received a verbal offer, was told the job was mine, and was asked to provide references. The executive I thought I would support hugged me as I left, called my references, and ghosted me. I called and emailed periodically for several weeks only to find out they offered the position to another candidate. While there are instances where a candidate will make it to final rounds and not be selected, making a verbal offer to a candidate with zero follow up is clearly not the norm. All in all, the interview process with Charlie Health was disappointing.
