      Relationship Banker Interview

      Mar 5, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Chase

      Interview

I interviewed 3 times with chase, once over the phone and twice in person. My first interview was with 2 branch managers and we started kicking things off really nicely. They definitely gave me the impression that they liked me and wanted to move on. During the interview the branch manager said she’d reach out to my recruiter for the next steps for me. Great I thought I’d be moving on with the hiring process. WRONG. I was then ghosted for an entire MONTH till I got a call from another branch manager at a different location asking if I could come in for a interview. So I go again and interview at another branch where the branch manager tells me he’s hired people that used to sell shoes and worked at cafes before so there’s all types of people in the team. I thought WOW I must be very qualified bc I worked as an accountant at a Fortune 500 company. So I must be very qualified if anything after he told me they hired baristas to work at a bank. WRONG AGAIN THEY GHOSTED ME AGAIN AFTER THAT. They literally had me sit with 3 different branch managers all for nothing. I talked with a close friend that used to work at chase and they told me a large part of their hires come from internal referrals so that makes a lot of sense. People just hire their friends and they cycle goes on in there. If you’re an external candidate with no connection in there but have great relevant experience they won’t care.

      Interview

Pretty easy interview. Just prepare to answer your sales experience, preferably in branch banking. Also be good at charming and making a connection with the interviewers since it is a sales job.

      Application

      I interviewed at Chase

      Interview

The interview process was very good and asks a lot of questions about sales experience or banking experience. If you’re licensed that is a plus. Recruiter called, then met with hiring manager and another branch manager. Total process took about 3-4 weeks
