I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Checkr in Sep 2019
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiting manager on LinkedIn asking if I was interested in discussing an opportunity with Checkr. I had an initial phone interview with the recruiting manager, who did an excellent job of explaining the company and role. He then had a coordinator follow up promptly to schedule next steps.
The next step were two Google hangout interviews, each an hour long meeting- one with another recruiter (who would be a peer)and one with a manager in another department in the company that this role would be hiring for. The questions were behavioral based and quite insightful. I have been interviewing with several companies and I was a caught a little off guard by the originality of some of the questions compared to standard interview questions- which I thought was impressive. They do a great job of thoroughly vetting candidates, and were professional throughout the whole experience.
The coordinator did an excellent job of setting expectations, the feedback was prompt, and even though they decided not to move forward with my candidacy they were engaged throughout the interview and process. I was impressed with the process, and while disappointed that I was not selected to move forward, would absolutely be interested in working for Checkr based on this experience.
