First was a phone screen with a recruiter. Spent most of the call asking me general questions about my background, and I got very few details about the role and the team. Then came a live coding interview with an engineer. It was not a great experience. The engineer gave me multiple incorrect suggestions that I had to spend time pushing back on and showing why it wouldn't work that way. Then, at the end of the interview, I had time to ask some questions, and the engineer gave answers like, "I don't know. You get to do whatever you want," and things like "They haven't fired me yet" or "Until they fire me". Did not leave a good impression of who I might be working with, as they clearly don't care about their job, let alone promoting it to someone hoping to work there.
