I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen (Fort Worth, TX) in Mar 2015
Interview
The interview was a group of individuals gathered around for taste testing (since it is a scratch kitchen) who take a tour around the restaurant and see what it is like to be a server. Then the training is followed by a 4 day job shadowing, which is being a food runner, prep line, side work manager, and focusing on drink refills. All the while learning the items on the menu and slowly taking orders and putting them into the POS by yourself.

Seemed like a complete waste of time. Walking into the interview, the manager didn’t even seem interested in interviewing. Seemed like her mind was already made up on the direction they were taking with things.

The interview was very relaxed, I came with a resume and they looked it over and asked questions regarding my experience then gave me the job on the spot. The manager was pleasant and seemed organized and efficient.
