I was referred by a current employee on the team, so I think I might have skipped part of the regular process. I had a half hour phone screen with the research manager, and she told me during the call that they wanted me to come for an in-person interview the following week. The Chewy team took care of all of my travel arrangements and paid for everything! The in-person interview was fairly standard. I spoke with 4 people - first the research manager, then did a brief high level case study with one of the other researchers (pretty straightforward), and then spoke with another researcher, and then the design lead. They wanted to learn more about me, but it was most importantly about the fit, if my personality and work style fit with the rest of the team. I received an offer less than 24 hours after my interview ended, overall it was a fairly fast process which was a big relief!
