I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Chick-fil-A Corporate (Atlanta, GA) in Jan 2013
Interview
I went through a staffing agency. I had to fill out their online application (on the CFA website) and then after that was accepted, I met with four people from Talent Acquisitions. One came to the staffing agency and then I went to the headquarters and met with three more people from HR and then three people from the department I was interviewing in all in one day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Tell me about your life. Let's go back to the beginning. Where were you born?" And then you basically tell your life story including everything from school, hobbies, activities, friends, things you did to jobs. When you get to the interview with the departmental managers, you are asked more typical interview questions such as "tell me about yourself," "What are your strengths and weaknesses," "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"
You have to complete a Harver interview which is virtual. Not too bad but I am not accustomed to virtual interviews so it was uncomfortable at first for me. I prefer in person or phone conversations honestly.

Interview
Filled out a paper application designed for restaurant workers and not an office worker.
Asked for social security and other information which would expose my information to others - identify theft etc.
I was interviewed for many hours not one hour, but like 3.5 hours only to not get the job. Having a paper application with my social security no. Address and permission for background check should only be done upon an offer letter.
The job wasn’t just office manager and administrative assistant- he wanted to off load a role that is his job and the pay to be the everything person is too low. If you want me to be the office manager and admin assistant and also actually visit the restaurants for quality control and reports, and wanting me to input numbers so you’d have the exact amount of lettuce - well you’d better pay management salary. This is a be everything to the owner role and that sets people up for failure. Hire multiple people based on interest and skills and experience in a specific area. Be open to changing the titles and roles - so you have a balanced work flow from the right people.
