I thought the interview process was quite streamlined with quick replies. Consisted of a very short phone interview with an in person follow up with the owner. I'm sure my human element portion didn't help. I was very sick and had to reschedule my phone interview at the last minute. I thinkni may have rescheduled it twice Thursday and Friday.I had the Phoenix interview Thursday feeling like crap and was told to meet the owner at Starbucks the following Monday morning. I never received any documentation (text/email) to confirm the follow up. (Maybe I wasn't supposed too?) When a different person text me Friday to confirm the interview time, I replied that I had the interview Thursday and information received. Asked him if I needed to keep this interview too. My response seemed to be an automated reply that the interview was canceled. And the last line read the position had been filled as of today. I couldn't get any reply from him or the other guy I had the interview with to confirm if I still had the interview Monday or not? I showed up Monday thinking I'm interviewing for an HR Director/ Training position. First question I shared a brief background of myself, not going into too much detail waiting for further questions to further explain my knowledge and skills. Upon finishing the first question, it was related that the role had been filled Friday. Both people were very pleasant to speak with and professional. It was disappointing giving up the time and resources easily prevented with simple effective communication.
