I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Chipotle (Centreville, VA) in Jan 2014
Interview
Three weeks after I applied online, I got an email stating that they wanted to interview me. I arrived ten minutes early to the interview with casual clothing, and asked the woman behind the register that I had an interview. She expressed plenty of enthusiasm and told me to be seated anywhere in the store. I waited around a minute and she took her seat across the table from where I was sitting with a piece of paper in her hand. The questions were very easy to answer and I had no trouble with them. One thing I would like to advise the reader is if you do have an upcoming interview with Chipotle -- please go to their website and take your time to understand their 'Food with Integrity' policy; the woman spent a lot of her time talking about the policy and how much it means to the store. After the question-and-answer phase, I was given a tour around the store and was introduced to the people who works there. She advised me how Chipotle has 13 characteristics that they look for and value in their associates; this is another policy I would like the reader to understand before they attend the interview. When the tour was finishing up, I was told that I would get a phone call from them around one to two days to let me know if they decided to hire me or not. On the third day, I decided to give them a call to see if they want to continue the hiring process with me. The man who answered, which was one of the managers working at the store, told me to call back at a specific hour during that day, claiming that he was busy. I called during the hour they told me to call and I was put on hold for 20 minutes. Someone later picked up the phone and hung up.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had

Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (West Hartford, CT) in May 2026
Interview
I scheduled an interview, but when I arrived the first time the manager was not there, so I had to reschedule. At the second interview, I waited about 10–15 minutes before the manager was ready. The interview itself was short, around 10 minutes, and mostly consisted of behavioral questions read from a sheet. Overall, the process felt disorganized and not very personal, but the questions were straightforward.
