Interview
WORST interview experience I've had. The manager was basically a teenager, and spent a good amount of the interview period joking with a coworker rather than getting to know the interviewees. It was a group interview; 4 people plus myself. The manager asked us what our "story" was, i.e job history/current situation (a very vague question). He then asked us what we knew about the company, calming everyone's nerves with saying he himself knew nothing about Chipotle prior to his employment. I knew what I needed to know,(basically know who Steve Ells is and what food with integrity means) in fact I was the only person in my group who knew anything about Chipotle. After that, he gave us a brief lecture on Chipotle's values and whatnot, and then basically said the interview was over. What??? Two short, vague questions and that's it? He told us we'd be contacted within 48 hours if we had qualified for a 2nd out of 3 interviews, one of which would be meeting the staff (and i they didn't "approve," he said, no matter what the managers thought you'd be gone) and sent us home. If the interview had been a normal one on one interview, I doubt it would have even lasted 10 minutes. A complete waste of time. And 3 interviews to see if you qualify to make burritos all day?? Honestly
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Bixby Knolls, CA) in Jul 2026
Interview
The interview was pretty easy, but I had to wait 30 to 40 minutes after my interview was scheduled to be interviewed. Inside the Chipotle, it was extremely hot and really uncomfortable, but other than that, the interview was pretty easy. But I haven’t heard back, as I was supposed to get a call on Sunday.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly asked me for my availability throughout the week, if I’m able to work weekends, what my good and bad qualities were, and that’s pretty much it and hobbies.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
