I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Chipotle in Sep 2014
Interview
I got an email from Chipotle saying to come into an interview. I was so excited, so I studied up on them for HOURS the night before watching all their videos on the site and doing extensive research on any possible interview question they might ask. When I went to the interview to no surprise it was a group interview of maybe 8 people. He asked us one main question of how much we know about Chipotle, our passions, and things we like to do for fun. Since I had done lots of research on them I was the only one who talked about how they opened in 1993 in Denver Colorado and actually used their motto "food with integrity". Most the applicants had nothing to say but the food was great. I made great eye contact with him the entire time as well. He only asked one other question which was an open question for anyone to just answer and I was the first one to answer then only two other girls answered as well. At the end he asked if we had any questions and I was the only one to ask a question. I thought that would look good since one of their 13 characteristics was being curious. I assume they don't actually want people with these characteristics because in my opinion, not trying to sound cocky at all, but i absolutely nailed it however just hours later they sent me an email saying they weren't interested. I'm very upset because I know in my heart I did wonderful in that interview, I did everything everyone tells you to do, but apparently they are looking for people who ambitious and curious like they said they were.
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Bixby Knolls, CA) in Jul 2026
Interview
The interview was pretty easy, but I had to wait 30 to 40 minutes after my interview was scheduled to be interviewed. Inside the Chipotle, it was extremely hot and really uncomfortable, but other than that, the interview was pretty easy. But I haven’t heard back, as I was supposed to get a call on Sunday.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly asked me for my availability throughout the week, if I’m able to work weekends, what my good and bad qualities were, and that’s pretty much it and hobbies.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
