I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
Chipotle has a three interview hiring process. The first interview is with the General Manager (usually a group interview). In the first interview the general manager just asked questions about myself so I just talked on and on about what I love to do and why I love to do it. The second interview is the Apprentice who is a level below the GM (also a group interview). In the interview with the Apprentice you get asked how much you know about the company and its values, also how long you plan to stay with the company if hired (apparently Chipotle doesn't do rehires no matter what the reason was for leaving). The third can be a group interview depending on how many people made it that far in the interviewing process. The third interview is with the entire crew that already works at Chipotle, this is one thing that I loved because they want to make sure that the people you are working with will like you especially since they are working on reaching a goal. Once hired they can be very unorganized, it took me two months to start working because someone was on vacation and no one was there to complete the hiring process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Bixby Knolls, CA) in Jul 2026
Interview
The interview was pretty easy, but I had to wait 30 to 40 minutes after my interview was scheduled to be interviewed. Inside the Chipotle, it was extremely hot and really uncomfortable, but other than that, the interview was pretty easy. But I haven’t heard back, as I was supposed to get a call on Sunday.

Question 1
They mainly asked me for my availability throughout the week, if I’m able to work weekends, what my good and bad qualities were, and that’s pretty much it and hobbies.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
