I applied online at "snagajob.com." I received an e-mail indicating Chuck E. Cheese had open interviews on Tuesdays. I called to schedule one and was told they did not necessarily conduct open interviews but that I could set up an appointment. I did so and interviewed in person. Since I had applied to be a walk around character, I was asked to put on the Chuck E. costume and walk around to determine whether I liked it. I did so and was enthusiastic about it. The interview was pleasant and I was hired on the spot.
