Interview
There was a written test followed by 2 tech rounds and the managerial round.
Written test had a set of random multiple choice questions so even for a good programmer it depends on luck if you have covered all topics. If the number of candidates is less the cut off is relaxed a bit. For senior posts tech round is not mandatory.
I didn't have to write the test. First tech round was a programming question to test knowledge on threading and basic OOPS concepts, java I/O apis, interface, inheritance, custom exception classes and datastructures. Pretty simple if you prepare well.
Second round had questions on core tech. Topics - serialization, threading, OOPS, class loading, recursion ( fibonacci) and how to improve recursion performance, spring annotations, hibernate.
Last managerial round was basically to test how fit you are for the organization: whether you are okay to support deployments once a while, contribute to organization goals, etc.
